Walk around the York Bar Walls and take a proper look around the Minister and discover why it is the jewel in our heritage crown.



The coast


Tackle the coast path from Whitby to RobinHoods Bay, drop in at one of the great local pubs and catch the bus back to your car.



Racing


Put on your poshest frock, sip some champagne, do some serious people watching at York Knavesmire, who knows you might even win on the horses too.



Art


Marvel at the mysterious natural sculpture of Brimham Rocks, a National Trust wonder.



Trains


Take a drive or steam train across the National Parks North Yorkshire Moors from Pickering, especially in late August when it is ablaze of purple.



Pubs


York is famous for its collection of pubs. Why not enjoy some of the award winning beer gardens and enjoy some of the best beer in the country?
